Nahal Film Festival

Nahal International Student Film Festival

Nahal international short film festival which has begun working since 2003, is the result of a student protest to the academic qualifications and is now the most important student film festival in Iran held annually by Leading of a Film Student and a full student team under supervision of cultural and social affairs department of the art university of tehran.

Of the purposes of this festival is creating a suitable space for presenting less seen works and minding students' different concerns and tastes.

The festival has no entry fee and receives films from students with any field of study.

Since 2013 there has been an added section to the festival which commemorates one of Iran's cinema pioneers each year. Since then, Reza Nabavi, Kamran ShirdelAli HatamiSohrab Shahid SalesMohammad Hossein Faraj and Ali Loqmani have been paid tribute to.

The 16th Edition of Nahal Will be held in June 2019.

The Nahal International Student Short Film Festival is a student short film festival that has been annually held by cinema students of art university of Tehran, Iran since 2003.

The festival receives films under 45 minutes in all subjects and genres such as fiction, documentary, experimental and animation

Head of Online Marketing

As the head of marketing I was in charge of creation and distribution of all online content. Social media advertising, channel management and defining festival's brand to national audience.

2013

Board Member

As a board member I was in charge of coming up with cohesive strategy and controlling its implementation through the management team. This included regular meeting with the organizers and university body. 

  • Expanding outreach of festival and attracting over 200 foreign film makers and more than 10 film institutes through online campaigns and marketing

  • Working with university faculty, alumni and current student to organize the festival

  • Introduction of scriptwriting category to the festival
